How to customize the virus alert displayed in the browser

Summary:

Describes how to customize the virus alert displayed in a browser window when an infected (suspect) object is detected.

Detailed description:

When BitDefender detects an infected (suspect) object, the browser displays a standard virus alert page. The contents of this html alert page can be customized by editing the following file:

%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft ISA Server\bdtemplate.html

You can edit this file with any html editor or text editor. For safety reasons, make a backup of this file before modifying it. After editing this file, the changes will be applied after restarting the service that loads the BitDefender HTTP filter:

  • Microsoft Web Proxy service for ISA Server 2000.
  • Microsoft Firewall service for ISA Server 2004.

Please note that the bdtemplate.html file uses several variables ([$variable_name]). They should be used as they are, without altering their names.

Software Applications:
BitDefender Security for ISA Servers

Operating systems:
Windows 2000, Windows 2003
