How to update BitDefender 8 under restricted users

For BitDefender 8 stand-alone we recommend upgrading for free to BitDefender 9 or later. The latest version uses an upgraded update component which allows updating the product automatically under restricted users.

For BitDefender Client 8, we recommend the following method:

1. Disable the automatic update of the BitDefender Client.

   From the Management Console, run the task template Configure Client, select Update Settings, and clear the option Automatic check for updates. Run the task on all the computers used by restricted users.

2. Create a scheduled Update Client task for the computers used by restricted users.
