BitDefender Mail Server Products released for Beta testing
BitDefender has released Beta versions of two new Windows mail server products. BitDefender Security for Exchange and BitDefender Security for Mail Servers (Windows) provide complete protection from e-mail-borne threats, including viruses, spyware, spam, phishing and inappropriate content, creating a completely clean mail server environment.
BitDefender Security for Exchange now protects Exchange Servers 2003, 2000 and 5.5 within one product, which makes it a comprehensive management tool. BitDefender Security for Mail Servers (Windows) works on most of the existing e-mail platforms so that compatibility issues are practically impossible. In addition to that, large organisations which need to centrally administer security policies, will benefit from the fact that the new server products can be remotely managed using BitDefender Enterprise Manager.
A lot of feature enhancements and new functionalities have been incorporated to help manage the influx of spam and malware directed at the messaging environment. Commenting on the releases, Clara Cismaru, BitDefender Product Manager said. “Beta campaigns underline our willingness to listen to and address the security needs of our customers”.
BitDefender’s multi-layered antispam approach not only stops spam as early as possible, it also protects against attacks, such as directory harvesting. As the number of content-security threats is continuously growing, BitDefender has added antispyware support as well as content and attachment filtering to prevent the overloading of the messaging environment and the theft of confidential and valuable data.
“By launching these beta programs and challenging the general public to put our newest products to the most rigorous tests, we are able to offer end products capable of the highest performance,” adds Clara Cismaru.
The open beta period will last until the middle of April. This will be a great opportunity for new and old BitDefender customers to get familiar with the new generation of mail server products and to submit their feedback. The most thorough beta testers of each beta product can win valuable prizes, namely a professional notebook, a GPS PDA telephone, an iPOD Nano and three iPODs Shuffles. Moreover, the most active corporate testers can secure ten free licenses for BitDefender Security for File Servers.
