Every bit as defensive as the bigger names
Anti-virus performance: The heuristic virus scanner instantly detected all our test viruses. It passed our test to pick up a virus contained in a zip file, as well as a harder- to-detect virus lurking in another compressed file one archive deep, which not all scanners pick up.
The firewall feature was generally excellent. We found it especially intelligent in making decisions on which programs and Internet traffic to allow through and which to block. Its silent interface ensured we weren’t disturbed once.

BitDefender is an excellent way to secure your PC and it offers a lot of extra features at a good price.
Bitdefender works quite differently, then, to many other security suites on the market but is an extremely effective way of combining the wide range of tools on offer. There was very little effect on performance and the unobtrusive approach manages to be refreshing while still providing peace of mind that the computer is effectively secured.
