License Policy

A BitDefender license gives the permission to use a product for the period of time and within the limitations specified in the BitDefender End User License Agreement.
The following services are provided to free of charge to registered holders of a BitDefender license:

• Software updates during the license period
• Technical support during the license period
• Access to product documentation and online knowledge base
• Response to files submitted to the BitDefender Lab for analysis (SLA)
• Upgrades: software upgrades to new versions are available for free during the registration period
• Update pushing during the license period, when available

Evaluation Licenses

The standard period for a trial license for all BitDefender products is 30 days. During the evaluation period the products are full functional and may be used freely for testing purposes.

Upgrading and Renewal

If you have a BitDefender v9 or v10 active license, you can use your current registration key to upgrade to the corresponding BitDefender 2008, product, as shown in the table below. Upgrade your product now to benefit from the new features and continue to be protected for the remaining licensing period, without additional costs.

Note: Users of BitDefender Antivirus Plus - which will be discontinued - will receive a free upgrade to Internet Security 2008 without the need to change keys.

.EDU and .GOV licenses

BitDefender has special offers depending on the type of organization. Discounts can be requested by the following:

• Schools, colleges and universities
• Charitable organizations
• Municipal and government organizations
