The emergency service protecting Britain’s most remote communities is the latest organisation to endorse BitDefender after successful deployment of the Corporate IT network security system.
The Highlands & Islands Fire and Rescue Service (HIFRS) operates a network of over 100 stations across 12,000 square miles staffed by retained fire-fighters who respond to emergency pager alerts sent from their control room in Inverness. The twelve server setup also performs other functions from personnel and availability rosters to an intranet archive of up-to-the-minute technical and training information.
