How to Turn Off Scam Protection Pro on macOS

If you need to turn off the Bitdefender Scam Protection Pro feature on a macOS computer, follow these easy steps.

 

Step 1. Open Scam Protection Pro

  1. Open Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac.
  2. On the main dashboard, either:
    • Click the small arrow ( > ) on the Scam Protection Pro panel, or

    • Click on Protection on the left-side menu, then access the Scam Protection Pro tab.

 

Step 2. Go to Settings

  1. In the Scam Protection Pro module, click on the Manage your protection option.
  2. The Scam Protection Pro Settings window will pop up.

Step 3. Disable Scam Radar

  1. In Scam Protection Pro settings, turn off the Scam Radar option.
  2. The switch will change color from blue (active) to gray (disabled).

Step 4. Quit Scam Protection Pro

  1. After disabling Scam Radar, right-click the Scam Protection Pro icon in the dock and select Quit.
  2. Once closed, Scam Protection Pro will no longer restart automatically.

That’s it! Scam Protection Pro is now turned off on your macOS computer. If you ever need to re-enable it, simply open Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac and reactivate the Scam Radar option.
