What are the Bitdefender Profiles and how do they work?

Bitdefender Profiles assign more system resources to the running applications by temporarily modifying protection settings and adjusting system configuration. Consequently, the system impact on your activity is minimized.

Some computer activities, such as video games or presentations, require increased system responsiveness, high performance, and no interruptions. When your laptop is running on battery power, it is best to postpone unnecessary operations, which consume additional power, until the laptop is connected back to AC power.

To adapt to different activities, Bitdefender comes with the following profiles:

Work Profile

Optimizes your work efficiency by identifying and adjusting the product and system settings.

Movie Profile

Enhances visual effects and eliminates interruptions when watching movies.

Game Profile

Enhances visual effects and eliminates interruptions when playing games.

Public Wi-Fi Profile

Applies product settings to benefit from full protection while connected to an unsecured wireless network.

Battery Mode Profile
